Cable and Bright House Networks – to market Verizon services and vice versa, foreshadowing the possibility of cable television, broadband, home phone and cellphone service someday appearing on a single monthly bill.The spectrum transfer part of the deal will require approval by the Federal Communications Commission and an antitrust review by the Justice Department. The agencies strongly objected to the proposed acquisition of T-Mobile by AT&T, Verizon's chief rival. That deal has been withdrawn from the FCC. Daniel S. Mead, chief executive of Verizon Wireless, said the spectrum would be a "critical mechanism" for delivering wireless service in the future.
